Columbia is excited to welcome Al Balk to its team of vehicle solution experts. Mr. Balk will serve as the After Sales Director. His primary focus will be bolstering Columbia's after sales support efforts including technical support, parts & accesories, and documentation. Balk will report directly to Scott Breckley, President & COO of Columbia.
Mr. Balk has extensive experience in a dealer distribution environment. Having owned his own repair facility, Al is familiar with the challenges a dealer faces in the field when working with a manufacturer to support a customer. Al also has extensive experience working for manufacturers and distribution entities where he gained valuable exposure to state-of-the-art support procedures and techniques. He brings a unique blend of exposure to the support needs of every facet of a dealer distribution chain.
Regarding the addition of Balk, Breckley stated, Adding Al to our team provides Columbia an opportunity to bring a new level of focus to our efforts to provide our customers with the highest level of support they have experienced from a manufacturer. We are looking forward to surprising our customers with this higher level of service and setting a new bar in the industry.
When asked, Al had the following to say about his new role at Columbia: "I have spent most of my life in distribution and desire to help dealers be wildly successful in their endeavors to promote Columbia in their respective marketplace."
Mr. Balk is a Wisconsin native and has recently relocated to Reedsburg with his wife, Tammy. His three grown children also live and work in the Midwest. He is an avid outdoorsman and is looking forward to plugging into the local community.
